1. Why use Quote Partner?
Quote Partner is committed to helping you find the
right tradesperson to complete your home improvement request.
That is why we work hard to maintain a database of trade companies
that is both varied and fully vetted.
2. Do consumers pay to use Quote
Partner?
Never. Quote Partner is completely free for consumers
to use. We make our money by charging companies to obtain
the business leads sent through to us.
3. Will you pass my details to
local firms?
Yes. Your quote request and contact details will be past on
to up to 3 local vetted tradespeople. This ensures that you
receive a healthy amount of feedback regarding your job request.
4. Will I receive endless phone
calls from firms?
No. Tradespeople who subscribe to Quote Partner sign an agreement
to say that they will contact consumers in a professional
manner only. So fear not, you will not be bombarded with calls
and emails from Quote Partner registered companies.
5. Why shouldn't I just look
through the phone book to find a tradesperson?
You can. However, booking a tradesperson from the phone book
is sometimes based on 'potluck' - whoever answers the phone
first or whichever advert stands out the most usually wins
more business. With Quote Partner we take all the unnecessary
hassle out of finding the right tradesperson for the job.
6. How do you vet tradespeople?
Companies must either submit two independent references or
they must be registered to a trade association, how each have
their own strict vetting procedures.
7. What if a tradesperson does
a bad job?
If any issues arise we will endeavor to help you, whether
this means discussing your situation with the firm involved,
contacting their trade association or helping you find a another
trade professional to help put the work right.
8. If I use Quote Partner do I still need to vet the tradesperson
that contact me?
Yes. Even though we monitor and vet all businesses registered
on Quote Partner, we still recommend that every consumer requests
to see a tradesperson's qualifications, trade membership certificates,
at least two references and details of their liability insurance
cover.
9. What else should I know?
We recommend that all quotes received by any tradesperson
is written and signed by the contractor - this gives you,
the customer, the peace of mind to know that the contractor
will work to an agreed budget and time-frame. It also means
that if unforeseen issues arise during the job the contractor
will be obliged to revisit the original quote and mention
any new costs before billing.
